Browns 2024 schedule with predictions for each game: Can Deshaun Watson finally live up to the trade in Cleveland?
Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns officially know what their 2024 season will look like as the schedule is official.

With the schedule being out, there is no better time to predict what will happen throughout the 17 games.

Many things can happen between now and the end of the season as we see every season that could affect this prediction that may be a bit too early.

Week 1 vs. Dallas Cowboys

Browns win 24-17: Opening at home is ideal for the Browns who were so good there in 2023. Cleveland gets it done to open the season against a team that should be in the playoffs in 2034 once again. This will be a battle.

Browns’ record after Week 1: 1-0

Week 2 @ Jacksonville Jaguars

Browns win 27-20: Jacksonville is an interesting team with the offseason that they had. Playing in Jacksonville is very hot this time of year, so cramping is going to be an issue. Cleveland is a better team and they’ll show it here.

Browns’ record after Week 2: 2-0

Week 3 vs. New York Giants

Browns win 31-20: Back at home, the Browns face a Giants team that has some pieces, but they’re still a bit away. I’m far from a Daniel Jones believer and could see Myles Garrett getting to him in this one.

Browns’ record after Week 3: 3-0

Week 4 @ Las Vegas Raiders

Browns lose 28-24: This will be the Browns’ first trip to Las Vegas, which should be fun for fans at least. It feels like the Raiders have the Browns’ number as of late.

Browns’ record after Week 4: 3-1

Week 5 @ Washington Commanders

Browns win 20-13: A bit lower scoring here against a team that has a solid offseason. Jayden Daniels is the guy in Washington and he will go up against a top defense in Cleveland, who I have prevailing.

Browns’ record after Week 5: 4-1

Week 6 @ Philadelphia Eagles

Browns lose 31-17: While I think these two teams have evenly matched rosters, I don’t like the idea of going into Philly and that environment for Cleveland. Mark it as a road loss.

Browns’ record after Week 6: 4-2

Week 7 vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Browns win 34-28: Cleveland has the Bengals best at home as of late and overall against Joe Burrow since he has been in the NFL. The Browns protect the home field in this one.

Browns’ record after Week 7: 5-2

Week 8 vs. Baltimore Ravens

Browns lose 30-21: Cleveland falls here against the Ravens at home in a frustrating loss. Overall, I see the teams splitting in 2024.

Browns’ record after Week 8: 5-3

Week 9 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Browns win 23-14: The Chargers overhauled the weaponry for Justin Herbert and while they have some pieces, there is still some building to be done. Them coming to Cleveland helps the Browns too.

Browns’ record after Week 9: 6-3

Week 10 BYE Week

Week 11 @ New Orleans Saints

Browns win 19-14: Coming off of the off week, the defense plays well against a Saints team that I think is very middle of the pack. The boot of Dustin Hopkins is active in the dome.

Browns’ record after Week 11: 7-3

Week 12 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Browns win 21-17: Here we have a good old AFC North battle. In the series in 2024, I could see the home team winning one each.

Browns’ record after Week 12: 8-3

Week 13 @ Denver Broncos

Browns lose 28-23: I’m not sure who will be the quarterback at this point in Denver perhaps it is rookie Bo Nix. Cleveland does not play well in Denver and that proves to be true again.

Browns’ record after Week 13: 8-4

Week 14 @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Browns lose 21-13: Pittsburgh gets revenge here and the Browns fall in Pittsburgh. This is a late-season battle that you hope both teams are healthy for.

Browns’ record after Week 14: 8-5

Week 15 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Browns win 28-27: Cleveland pulls off a late-season surprise here to most. Travis Kelce coming back to Cleveland is a story and the Super Bowl champions will be in playoff mode, but perhaps a bit too focused.

Browns’ record after Week 15: 9-5

Week 16 @ Cincinnati Bengals

Browns lose 24-20: Traveling to Cincinnati for a night game late in the season on Thursday Night Football is going to be fun. The Browns and Bengals split this season and both make the playoffs.

Browns’ record after Week 16: 9-6

Week 17 vs. Miami Dolphins

Browns win 31-28: Cleveland getting Miami to come to town late in the season at night is a win for them. Here we have a high-scoring game against a very good offense.

Browns’ record after Week 17: 10-6

Week 18 @ Baltimore Ravens

Browns win 21-20: Cleveland splits with the Ravens here to have an overall split with the division in 2024. Winning here to end the season could be big for the playoff push.

Final record: 11-6

Cleveland makes the playoffs for the second straight season after winning 11 games in 2024. The schedule is a tough one for Cleveland but I think the placement of the games overall is pretty fair. The Browns must improve on the road in 2024 because it was an Achilles heel in 2023.

The Browns getting many of their tough games at home is a plus. Overall, the season rides on whether or not Deshaun Watson can be what the Browns need him to be, as well as why they traded for him.
